ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Admissions conform to the rules and regulations laid down by the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Rourkela has been established by an Act of the Assembly, Government of Orissa in June 2002. All Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture and most of the colleges offering MCA and MBA degree programmes are either constituent or affiliated colleges of this University. A candidate with valid JEE-2011 rank card can opt for admission against State quota seats (75 percent of sanctioned strength) during counseling. Students seeking admission to the B.Tech. Degree program have to qualify in Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) conducted by Government of Orissa or All India Engineering Entrance Examination(AIEEE) conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. The requirement for appearing at the above examination is a pass in +2 Science course with Mathematics, physics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Biotechnology.

Students having Diploma in Engineering with 60% of mark are admitted into the respective B.Tech program at the 3rd semester level through J.E.E.

STUDENT DISCIPLINE
Ragging in any form inside or outside the college and hostel premises is strictly prohibited. Ragging being a cognizable offence, any one indulging in ragging is liable to be punished severely including expulsion from the college and/or heavy fine and imprisonment as per rules. The students and their parents/guardians will have to give an undertaking that the student is aware of the rules and agrees to abide by the punishment meted out to his/her ward in case his/her ward is found guilty of ragging. Consumption of alcohol/narcotics inside or outside the college or hostel premises is banned. Any student found under such influence shall be severely punished.
