The department of Humanities and Basic Science is a part of engineering curriculum in the field of physics, chemistry, mathematics, english, economic and organizational behaviour, including fundamental strength that helps distinct engineers. The course curriculum is periodically upgraded by the BPUT to suit the requirements of different engineering departments as well as industry. Knowledge of materials and materials characterization is fundamental to engineering. The departments have been conducting national conferences, providing several research projects to develop the student's fundamental knowledge durnig their 1st and 2nd year to make them competent for their higher semesters.
